E commerce Web Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and innovative E-Commerce Web Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing our e-commerce website, ensuring a seamless, user-friendly experience for customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance the platform's functionality, integrate new features, and ensure the website runs smoothly, securely, and efficiently.

Duties

Develop, implement, and maintain the e-commerce website using platforms like Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, or custom solutions.
Ensure the website is fully functional, secure, and optimized for performance on both desktop and mobile devices.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to website performance, security, or user experience.
Work closely with designers and product teams to ensure the website's user interface (UI) is visually appealing, user-friendly, and provides an optimal user experience (UX).
Implement design changes and optimize the website for maximum usability and conversion rates.
Integrate payment gateways, inventory management systems, shipping providers, and other third-party tools to enhance functionality.
Implement APIs for seamless connections to various systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, marketing tools).
Optimize website code for SEO to ensure high search engine rankings and better discoverability.
Test websites for compatibility, responsiveness, and functionality across multiple browsers and devices.
Work closely with marketing, product, and sales teams to implement features that support business goals, such as special promotions, product launches, and seasonal sales.
Utilize analytics tools to track website performance, identify areas of improvement, and report on key metrics such as traffic, conversions, and sales.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve skills.

Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (preferred).
Proven 3 years experience in e-commerce web development .
Strong proficiency in front-end development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery).
Experience with back-end programming languages such as PHP, Python, or Ruby.
Familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Woo Commerce, Magento, or Big Commerce.
Experience working with version control systems
Knowledge of responsive design principles and frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.).
Experience with web performance optimization techniques and tools.
Basic knowledge of SEO best practices for e-commerce.
Familiarity with web analytics tools like Google Analytics.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and project management tools (JIRA, Trello, etc.).
Knowledge of web accessibility standards and compliance.
