Overview

The Vice President of Marketing & Public Relations is a key member of Moody Center’s senior leadership team, responsible for defining, driving, and elevating the arena’s success, reputation, and market position through a comprehensive local and national marketing strategy. This executive oversees all marketing, public relations, digital and creative functions for the venue and events. This role ensures the arena continues to set and raise the industry standard for excellence. This role pays an annual salary of $135,000-$160,000 and is bonus eligible.

Responsibilities

Lead the overall marketing, public relations, digital, and creative strategy for venue and events while aligning with organizational priorities and standards

With the oversight from GM & AGM, serve as the department’s final decision-maker and approver for public relations, creative, paid media, and event marketing initiatives

Serve as a marketing asset to all departments with an emphasis on Premium, Partnerships, Booking, and Guest Experience teams to uphold brand consistency and support each department meet key goals

Build and implement venue’s public relations and media strategy while strengthening relationships with local, regional, and national outlets

Lead the development, approval, and distribution of all press releases and statements

Oversee campaign planning, workflow management, and resource prioritization for all major arena initiatives

Provide clear creative direction and strategy to the design and content teams

Use real-time ticketing and analytics data to continually optimize marketing strategies

Periodically review marketing strategy impact and make recommendations for necessary adjustments

Remain current on industry trends and local market insights to inform marketing strategies

Guide and support team members through clear goals, strong accountability, and a commitment to excellence

Accountable for department budgeting and revenue performance

Initiate, develop and maintain relationships with national and local promoters, record labels, touring personnel, and media partners

Manage campaigns and projects using venue’s project management platform

Serve as on-site marketing department representative for designated events

Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

10 years of progressive marketing and public relations leadership in a high event volume, 15,000 arena or stadium, including at least 4 years at the director level or higher

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Proven experience leading high-performing marketing and creative teams

Demonstrated success in developing event and venue marketing campaigns

Exceptional communication, storytelling and media relations capabilities

Partner mindset with executives, promoters, artists’ teams, and stakeholders

Adaptable, resourceful, and able to perform under pressure and tight deadlines

Ability to creatively solve problems

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an expert ability to present and communicate new ideas and concepts

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Salesforce, Asana, TM1, is preferred
