Marketing and Business Development Lead

Join a dynamic and prestigious global accountancy organization as a Marketing and Business Development Lead. We are seeking a passionate and driven individual to play a crucial role in enhancing our local business development activities across the North West. In this position, you will foster client engagement and support growth initiatives through effective relationship management, bid assistance, and event planning.
You will be integral to ensuring that our growth strategies align with organizational goals, working closely with the Office Managing Partner, local BD and Marketing teams, sector leaders, and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead local business development efforts that align with firm-wide strategies
- Assess market position and identify potential sponsorship opportunities
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with local businesses and industry intermediaries
- Coordinate local events while supporting broader national marketing initiatives
- Oversee client care processes and account planning activities
- Collaborate with the Bids team to facilitate comprehensive bid processes, from document preparation to debriefs
- Ensure data integrity of marketing lists and CRM systems
Key Skills
- Experience in business development within the professional services sector, especially accountancy
- Strong skills in bid writing and client engagement
- Exceptional project management and organizational capabilities
- Confident communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships
- Proactive, adaptable, and a dedicated team player
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite is essential; familiarity with CRM systems is preferred
- A robust local network with intermediaries is a plus
This is a hybrid role based out of our central Manchester office.
