What to Expect
As Assistant Marketing Manager, Häagen-Dazs, you'll play a meaningful role in shaping how one of the world's most iconic premium brands shows up in Canada. This is a hands-on brand role where strategy and execution come together – from building compelling brand plans to bringing launches and campaigns to life in market. You'll help develop strategic, insight-led recommendations, while owning key initiatives across the Häagen-Dazs brand. This includes commercializing new product launches, supporting integrated marketing campaigns, and partnering closely with cross-functional teams to ensure excellence in execution.
A day in the life
Provide fact-based analytical support to identify business issues and opportunities by monitoring brand and competitive performance against key KPI. Analyze brand, category and competitive performance using AC Nielsen and other research/data sources, translating data into clear insights. Prepare and present monthly brand and competitive performance reviews, offering a holistic view of category dynamics and business health. Leverage consumer, brand and marketplace insights to inform marketing strategics and activities within the 18-Month Brand Plan, aligned with the 3-Year Brand Plan. Lead the end-to-end execution of Innovation and Renovation projects, collaborating and influencing cross-functional partners to deliver launches with excellence. Manage all launch-related initiatives and communications, including research, volume builds, packaging and product development, sales presentations, kits and samples. Support brand and category plans through packaging, pricing promotional, merchandising, and distribution initiatives. Manage Product Fixed Marketing Expense (PFME), including tracking spend and leading pre- and post-evaluation to assess business impact against KPIs. Develop customer-facing materials including sell sheets, cycle kits and communication plans. Support marketing administration including internal presentations, meetings, events, etc.
Role Requirements
A University degree in a business-related discipline preferred. A minimum of 2 years of marketing experience required. CPG experience is strongly preferred. Understanding of commercialization process within CPG with ability to leverage Nestlé processes, resources, and environment. Demonstrated proficiency in marketing analysis (AC Nielsen, market share, PFME/budget management). Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills. Entrepreneurial and results-focused, with the ability to navigate complexity and drive execution. Solid understanding of the 4 Ps and their application, including the ability to read and interpret a P&L Agility, curiosity and courage. Collaboration skills and an ability to work comfortably with various stakeholders. Passionate to build and grow brands, with 'can-do' attitude and a willingness to challenge status quo. Comfortable managing change and evolve in a fast-paced dynamic and matrix environment. Proven ability to collaborate, lead, and empower others in a team environment. Proficient computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other MS applications.
