The Marketing Specialist-Events will oversee events that support Neighborhood Healthcare’s strategic goals for growth and community engagement. This role will manage and implement successful Neighborhood Healthcare events by ensuring volunteers and community partners are equipped with the necessary equipment and information.

This is a full-time, hybrid position. Candidates must be located in San Diego or Riverside County.

Responsibilities

  • Creates, writes, and distributes emails, printed, and digital event invitations.
  • Supports the marketing departments with administrative tasks
  • Executes events from the initial stage to the event evaluation, including timelines, vendor relationships, supply orders, budgets, and event logistics
  • Establish, report, and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure event performance
  • Collaborates to develop materials related to events, including invitations, media releases, and social media posts
  • Works with management to identify and cultivate a team of volunteers to assist with organizational needs, fundraising efforts, donor engagement activities, and events
  • Oversee event volunteers and committees to direct their activities before, during, and after events
  • Execute events including invitations, attendee lists, table seating, name badges, and updating databases
  • Leads event tasks, including set up, event logistics, schedules, tear down, and clean up
  • Maintain current projects and tasks using project management tool (Asana), ensuring adherence to deadlines
  • Track vendor relationships, including sourcing vendors, obtaining estimates, negotiating pricing, and maintaining budgets

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, hospitality, or communications or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Two years of event execution or marketing required
  • Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance required

Additional Qualifications(Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior composition, typing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Knowledgeable about and experience with volunteer management and event logistics
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent planning and organizational ability
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical manner

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift/carry 25 lbs/weight
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

Neighborhood Healthcare offers a generous benefit plan that includes: Partially company paid Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans. Pay range: $67,400 to $94,360 annually, depending on experience.

Compensation Disclosure: The posted salary range reflects the designated pay grade for this position. While this range represents the broader classification of the role, actual compensation will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s overall knowledge, skills, and experience, market data and industry benchmarks, internal equity within the organization, Budgetary considerations and organizational needs. As a result, placement within the range is not guaranteed, and the full pay grade range may not be utilized.
