We are currently looking for a Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communications in Florida.The Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communications will serve as the organizations chief brand and communications strategist, leading the development and execution of integrated marketing initiatives that elevate reputation, engagement, and impact. This role provides strategic direction across brand, digital, creative, PR, and internal communications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and mission. You will guide a diverse, high-performing team, translating complex strategies into actionable plans, while fostering innovation, collaboration, and measurable results. This position offers the opportunity to influence both internal culture and external perception, driving global awareness and stakeholder engagement in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.Accountabilities:
- Lead overall marketing and communications strategy, providing counsel and integrated plans across programs, events, campaigns, and enterprise priorities.
- Oversee brand positioning, creative development, and design to ensure a compelling and consistent identity.
- Drive digital marketing, social media, and content strategies to expand reach, engagement, and visibility.
- Manage external vendors, including PR agencies, consultants, and creative partners, to deliver against KPIs.
- Guide executive, internal, and external communications, including crisis management, to safeguard and enhance organizational reputation.
- Establish and monitor key performance metrics to evaluate marketing and communications effectiveness.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic guidance to a high-performing marketing and communications team.
- Serve as a senior spokesperson and liaison to executive leadership and the Board on communications matters.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in journalism, marketing, communications, business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership in marketing and communications, including executive-level experience; nonprofit, purpose-driven, or social impact sector experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in brand building, marketing strategy, reputation management, and communications transformation.
- Experience leading multi-functional teams and managing significant budgets.
- Strong executive presence, with credibility in engaging senior leadership, board members, funders, and media.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing trends, audience engagement, storytelling, and data-driven campaign optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution.
- Strong crisis communication skills and proven success operating in fast-paced, multicultural environments.
- Ability to travel occasionally (1015% of the time).
