We are currently looking for a Director, Institutional Marketing in Washington.The Director, Institutional Marketing will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies aimed at healthcare professionals, with a particular focus on recurrent pericarditis centers. This role bridges strategic planning and tactical execution, working closely with field teams to create impactful educational tools, digital initiatives, and promotional resources. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including patient marketing, commercial operations, and insights, ensuring alignment across brand messaging, congress activities, and educational programs. This position offers a dynamic environment for an individual contributor passionate about shaping healthcare communications, driving measurable impact, and supporting a growing organization dedicated to addressing high unmet medical needs.Accountabilities:
- Develop and refine marketing strategies and tactical plans supporting Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) and recurrent pericarditis centers.
- Create and manage resources, tools, and materials for HCP engagement and education.
- Coordinate compliant cross-functional initiatives with relevant clinical centers and field teams.
- Drive HCP-facing tactics including digital campaigns, brand messaging, congress management, promotional materials, and educational activities.
- Manage agency partners and vendors, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and budget adherence.
- Navigate Medical Review Committee (MRC) and Promotional Review Committee (PRC) processes for compliant material approval.
- Engage with HCPs and KOLs to gather insights and translate them into strategic initiatives.
- Oversee timelines, budgets, and resources to align with commercial and corporate objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of brand marketing experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Field experience (TLL, sales, or similar) is highly desirable.
- Strong digital marketing expertise, including development of HCP-targeted campaigns.
- Experience in rare disease or specialty pharma is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, project management, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Strong commitment to compliance and ethical standards in marketing practices.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%.
