The Role and the Team
We’re looking for an experienced Content Marketing Manager to join our Brand & Communications team and play a leading role in bringing our content strategy to life. You’ll help deliver a multi-channel content programme that strengthens our brand, celebrates our frontline community and drives meaningful engagement across editorial, email, social, web and video. You’ll also play a key part in developing the systems, processes and reporting frameworks that enable us to measure, learn from and grow the impact of our content over time.
Our Brand & Communications team is at the heart of how we connect with the Blue Light community. We go beyond promotion, creating inspiring, engaging experiences that build trust, loyalty and lasting connections.
What You’ll Do
- Translate strategic priorities, audience insight and performance data into clear, actionable content plans and briefs
- Own and manage key sections of editorial and campaign calendars, using insight and trends to inform prioritisation and timing
- Write, edit and produce engaging, audience-led content across blog, email, web, social and multimedia
- Champion and develop member stories, using engagement and performance signals to shape formats and themes
- Brief and collaborate with designers, videographers, agencies and freelancers to deliver content informed by clear objectives and success metrics
- Create content that drives awareness and clearly communicates the value of Blue Light Card, guided by data on what resonates most with members
- Ensure content is optimised for discovery, with a strong focus on SEO, GEO and performance-led optimisation
- Measure content performance and use insight to inform decisions, refine strategy and continuously improve impact
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in content marketing, editorial or brand storytelling roles
- Proven experience planning and delivering multi-channel content programmes
- Strong editorial skills with the ability to write, edit and shape compelling narrative
- Confidence using analytics tools (e.g. GA, CRM, social insights) to assess performance
- Ability to turn data and insight into practical recommendations
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative, creative mindset with a structured approach to delivery
- Passion for storytelling, community and the impact of those who serve society

The frequency and office location will vary depending on the role and team. We aim to be flexible, but we aren’t able to offer fully remote working.
