Manager – Wholesale Marketing
Purpose & ImpactAs the Manager, Wholesale Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing U.S. Account Marketing and Activation Plans for key wholesale partners. This position is critical to driving business growth and strengthening Brand Health KPIs by delivering best-in-class marketing activations at retail and digital touchpoints.
You'll collaborate closely with Key Account Sales, Merchandising, Brand Communications, Digital Activation, and Visual Merchandising teams to ensure seamless alignment across brand, retail, and digital strategies—ultimately creating consumer experiences that inspire engagement and conversion.
What You'll Do
Strategy & Account Marketing
  • Develop and align seasonal marketing plans that integrate product, retail, and brand initiatives for key wholesale accounts.
  • Execute account marketing calendars to secure brand presence, share of space, and consumer engagement.
  • Partner with Sales and Merchandising to ensure marketing programs support commercial objectives and sell-through priorities.
  • Support digital and omnichannel marketing strategies in collaboration with Digital Activation teams.
  • Serve as the primary marketing contact for assigned accounts, ensuring timely delivery of tools, campaigns, and activations.
Retail & Digital Activation
  • Plan and execute in-store activations, product launches, and promotional campaigns aligned with seasonal priorities.
  • Partner with Visual Merchandising and Retail Concepts teams to deliver premium retail experiences.
  • Drive conversion and sell-through by aligning in-store and digital activations with retailer strategies.
  • Stay ahead of consumer trends, retail behaviors, and competitive dynamics to inform marketing decisions.
Performance & Budget Management
  • Measure and report on activation effectiveness, leveraging insights to optimize future investments.
  • Manage budgets responsibly, maximizing ROI and ensuring efficient allocation.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Business Development on budget tracking and performance analysis.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Work across Sales, Merchandising, Digital, and Brand teams to deliver cohesive consumer experiences.
  • Act as the consumer activation lead, advising on tools and assets that drive engagement.
  • Share best practices and partner with Global and NAM teams to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Build strong relationships with retail partners to align on seasonal priorities.
Who You Are
  • Experienced in brand marketing and project management, ideally within wholesale or sporting goods.
  • Highly collaborative with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical and data-driven, with the ability to apply consumer insights and retail trends to marketing strategies.
  • Skilled in retail marketing, digital activation, and omnichannel approaches.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in brand, digital, wholesale, or account marketing.
  • Background in trade marketing, retail activation, or category marketing within a consumer brand.
  • Proven ability to execute account-based marketing strategies focused on engagement and sell-through.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Employees are eligible to earn an annual bonus based on both company and personal performance. Employees accrue prorated flexible time off in the amount .4388 hours per day that increases with years of service, twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year and Service Time Off during milestone years.
  • The anticipated low and high end of the base pay range for this position is $$95,011.73 - $142,517.60 . Actual salary will be based on various factors, such as a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills and competencies, proficiency for the role.
  • At adidas we offer a Hybrid work policy which requires attendance in the office Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday each week. For work requiring a high degree of collaboration or an in-person presentation, in-office attendance is required even on Friday. The working location of this position is New York, NY.
