The Position
Reporting to the Head of Product & Marketing, the Digital Marketing Specialist role is a key function within the Marketing Department. This role is responsible for driving digital growth, strengthening brand awareness, and supporting sales through strategic digital initiatives. You will work closely with the Global Team, Sales Account Managers, Digital Team, and the in-house Creative Team to develop, execute, and optimize digital marketing programs across multiple channels.
The Digital Marketing Specialist will oversee all aspects of paid media, social platforms, influencer partnerships, content development, e-commerce support, and email marketing. You will also support digital content needs for trade shows and ensure cohesive and impactful representation of Wahl Canada across all digital touchpoints.
Responsibilities
Paid Advertisement
- Plan, execute, and optimize paid digital advertising campaigns (Meta, Google, Amazon, TikTok, etc.) to drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversions.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance to ensure strong ROI.
- Manage advertising budgets and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Social Media Management
- Develop, schedule, and publish engaging content across all social media channels.
- Monitor platform performance, respond to community interactions, and adapt content based on trends and insights.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity.
Ambassador & Influencer Management
- Identify, recruit, and manage relationships with influencers, ambassadors, and content partners.
- Coordinate product seeding, campaign briefs, and content approvals.
- Evaluate influencer performance and optimize the program for stronger results.
Content Creation
- Collaborate with internal and external creators to develop compelling graphic, photo, and video content.
- Ensure all digital content aligns with brand guidelines and supports key business priorities.
- Create product content for e-commerce, digital ads, social media, e-mail marketing, and trade show usage.
E-mail Marketing
- Plan, build, and deploy email marketing campaigns targeting key audiences.
- Maintain subscriber lists, segmentation, and automated workflows.
- Analyze campaign metrics and identify opportunities to improve open rates, CTR, and conversions.
Trade Shows & Events
- Support trade show planning with digital assets, content, and marketing materials.
- Attend trade shows as needed to assist with product demonstrations, digital content capture, and brand representation.
Self-Learning
- Stay updated on industry trends, new marketing tools, and platform best practices.
General Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally with regional and global marketing & branding teams, sales, product management, and supply chain on digital and marketing initiatives.
- Support miscellaneous digital and marketing tasks as required.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a digital marketing role (preferably in a CPG environment).
- Hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, TikTok, and other ad-buying platforms.
- Experience managing social media platforms and creating digital content.
- Influencer management experience is an asset.
- E-commerce experience (Amazon, DTC platforms, Walmart.ca, and other marketplaces) strongly preferred.
Skills
- Proficient with digital marketing tools (Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Klaviyo/Mailchimp, Canva/Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with excellent time management and the ability to multitask.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and optimize performance.
- Creative thinker with a strong understanding of digital trends and consumer behavior.
- Self-starter with a high level of initiative and attention to detail.
