  • *eCommerce Specialist (Full Time) - Brampton, ON**
  • *Primary Purpose**

The eCommerce Specialist is a newly created position to help us engage in eCommerce sales as we embark on the implementation of our best-in-class eCommerce platform. You will work cross-functionally in a highly visible role to create and maintain an online shopping experience for our customers, supporting creative and dynamic product content. You will be a key member of the eCommerce team, reporting to the eCommerce Manager. You will work closely with our IT department as well as our offshore partner.

As an eCommerce Specialist, you are responsible for managing the B2B website on our global eCommerce platform, enhancing the brand experience for our customers. You will be responsible for Development, Operations, Continuous Improvements and Quality Assurance throughout and beyond the implementation of the platform.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage content on the eCommerce platform, keeping the catalog, content and promotions current and relevant
  • Provide statistical reporting on customer trends and KPI’s on the eCommerce site
  • Communicate with Product Specialists, the Sales Team and the Marketing Team to maintain accurate product, price and promotional information
  • Implement usability and conversion optimizations in the eCommerce platform to drive growth
  • Optimize existing product pages and add new products online with fully enhanced content, images, videos, manuals, related SKUs, add-on accessories, etc.
  • Design landing pages and manage A/B testing operations to drive conversion
  • Participate in global release management and operations, manage incidents and requirements, and drive User Acceptance Testing
  • Maintaining SEO best practices while regularly evaluating new SEO opportunities to grow traffic
  • *Required Qualifications**
  • *Education**:
  • A College diploma, University degree, or relevant job-related experience
  • *Experience**:
  • 2+ years of experience as an eCommerce web developer
  • Experience in maintaining and operating a B2C and/or B2B ecommerce website
  • Experience with standard web development skills including HTML5, CSS, JQuery, React, JavaScript, Bootstrap, responsive design and API’s
  • Experienced in Google Analytics & Tag Manager
  • Working experience in site optimization, personalization and a/b testing

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Intellectually curious and passionate about eCommerce and digital marketing
  • Standard web development skills including HTML5, CSS, JQuery, JavaScript, Bootstrap, responsive design and API’s
  • Knowledge and understanding of Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tactics
  • Well versed in Google Analytics & Tag Manager
  • Site optimization, a/b testing
  • Work experience with ERP systems a plus (i.e. Microsoft Dynamics, SAP or JD Edwards)
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence
  • Working with Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator is considered an asset
  • Experience working in a global environment
  • Knowledge and experience with any major Commerce Tech Stack - Commerce Tools, SAP Commerce, HCL Commerce, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, BigCommerce
  • Outcome focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyze and visualize
  • Digital Marketing, social media, traffic generation, online brand building
  • Excellent English verbal and written communications skills
  • Well versed in the French language is highly preferred
