This is a Temporary position for Leave of Absence coverage.
The Marketing Specialist develops and implements a comprehensive social media strategy to increase the Company’s web traffic, brand awareness, and community outreach. The role is focused on attracting and interacting with targeted virtual communities, customer segments, and employee populations. The Marketing Specialist will ensure the Company web presence and collateral offerings are aligned with its marketing strategy.

Essential Job Functions
- Designs social media strategies to achieve marketing targets.
- Generates, edits, publishes, and shares daily content (original text, images, video, or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and highlights ongoing corporate achievements.
- Optimizes Company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of the Company’s social content.
- Improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and best practices to refine outreach strategies.
- Moderates all user-generated content online through the respective established policies.
- Creates promotional and collateral materials for presentations, qualifications, and events.
- Develop and publish corporate newsletters and targeted notices.
- Collaborates with managers to maximize awareness regarding new projects and initiatives completed.
- Collaborates with Company departments to manage reputation, identify key players, and coordinate actions.
- Coordinates logistics to order, print, and assemble Company marketing material.
- Design logos for Company products, including clothing, gear, and awards.
- Researches media best practices and stays current with new digital technologies.
- Responsible for working safely, adhering to all aspects of our Health, Safety, and Environmental Program for self-protection and for protecting fellow co-workers, sub-contractors, the public, and the client by supporting all Company safety efforts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, And Skills
- 3-5 years’ experience as a social media specialist/marketing coordinator or equivalent.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrates editing (photo/video/text), writing, and presentation skills.
- Experience with social networking and social analytics tools.
- Knowledge of online/traditional marketing platforms and major marketing channels.
- Ability to multi-task, have strong attention to detail, and time management skills to ensure all established deadlines are achieved.
- Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter and able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Has passion, energy, persistence, a positive attitude, and enthusiasm.
- Proficient with computers and familiar with Microsoft software suite.
- Proficient with related applications and software, including Adobe Creative Suite, web and graphic design tools, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
- Able to identify a need, remove barriers, and have the know-how to make things happen.
- Values diversity of ideas, opinions, and people. Has good common sense and applied logic.
- Must possess or be able to obtain an appropriate state driver's license before employment, along with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
