The Opportunity
The Marketing & Engagement Lead plays a pivotal role in advancing COVE’s brand and stakeholder relationships through high-impact engagement initiatives, including tradeshows, conferences, tours, and events. This role involves coordinating vendor relationships, logistics, and budgets, while creating experiences that strengthen COVE’s visibility, support revenue goals, and deepen relationships with industry, government, and other key stakeholders.
The Marketing & Engagement Lead also supports relationship-management plans and contributes to sponsorship strategy and outreach, helping secure partnerships that drive major events and long-term corporate growth.
The Lead possesses strong organizational skills, attention to detail, creativity, and a marketing mindset to deliver impactful events and engagement experiences that align with COVE’s brand and marketing objectives. Problem-solving skills and a passion for turning ideas into successful initiatives are key, along with the ability to connect engagement activities to broader business development goals.
What You'll Do
- Lead strategic engagement initiatives that align with COVE’s marketing and revenue objectives, leveraging events, tradeshows, and site tours as key channels for brand visibility and relationship building.
- Plan, organize, and execute events and tradeshows from concept to completion, including budgeting, vendor management, contract negotiation, logistics, and on-site oversight to ensure compliance, brand alignment, and participant satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships through engagement activities, relationship-management plans, and post-event follow-up to strengthen partnerships and support revenue objectives.
- Support sponsorship strategy, including identifying prospects, supporting outreach, and coordinating proposals to secure funding for major events and multi-year partnerships.
- Maintain and optimize the CRM system to track engagement activities, inform relationship strategies, and support reporting needs.
- Create and manage a master calendar and budgets for events, tradeshows, and tours; establish standard operating procedures for consistent execution.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure event communications, branding, and facilities are coordinated; provide marketing and communications support during low event periods.
- Oversee promotional product inventory and ordering.
- Ensure compliance with COVE policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Take on additional responsibilities as required to support the success and growth of COVE’s programs and strategic initiatives.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent education and work experience with event management and/or marketing.
- 3-5 years planning and executing events with demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining strong working relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to handle conflict calmly and professionally.
- Strong digital skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and strong technical skills with the ability to learn new processes and systems quickly.
- Experience in developing and maintaining strong working relationships, combined with excellent stakeholder-facing skills.
- Highly motivated, analytical, logical thinker with a very strong attention to detail and the ability to meet multiple and/or unexpected deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Initiative, good judgment, a strong work ethic, and demonstrated ability to recognize risk and proactively mitigate.
- Solid team player with advanced personal time management skills with a proven track record in planning, implementing and managing multiple projects.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with poise and professionalism to interact with clients.
- Able to work well individually and in a group.

- Experience in the marine sector and/or a relevant technology-based industry.
