Digital Manufacturing Architect

Location: North Wales, PA

Our national scale allows us to develop and implement standardized solutions at any client facility.

We are currently seeking a talented MES & Industry 4.0 Architect. This role involves driving the technical strategy, architecture, and design of MES and digital manufacturing systems for our clients. If you excel at the intersection of manufacturing operations, automation, and digital transformation, this position is for you.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture

  • Lead the design and architecture of MES and connected systems for clients in various industries.
  • Define end-to-end architecture, including MES, SCADA, PLC, ERP, LIMS, historian, and cloud/edge layers.
  • Develop technical documentation such as solution blueprints, architecture diagrams, and data flow models.

Client Engagement & Delivery

  • Serve as a technical leader in customer engagement and understanding client processes.
  • Translate functional/business requirements into scalable MES and automation solutions.
  • Develop proposals based on customer-specific requirements and industry regulations.

Integration & Industry 4.0 Enablement

  • Architect integration of MES with upstream and downstream systems using various protocols.
  • Lead the adoption of Industry 4.0 enablers such as digital twins and AI/ML.
  • Design hybrid on-prem/cloud data strategies.

Compliance & Validation

  • Ensure solutions are compliant with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Support CSV documentation lifecycle and work with validation teams.

Team Development & Innovation

  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 12+ years in MES architecture, digital manufacturing, or industrial automation.
  • Experience with MES platforms and in regulated environments.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms and agile delivery.
