Upstream Data Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Upstream Data Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in Revenue Accounting, Production Accounting, and Joint Interest Billing (JIB). This role requires collaboration with stakeholders to understand business processes and identify improvement opportunities.

The successful candidate will have deep functional understanding of data flows across upstream operations, from production volumes and ownership to revenue distribution. Additionally, they should be proficient in Oil & Gas ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP PRA, Enertia, or Quorum.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand key business processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Gather, document, and translate business requirements into clear specifications for systems and solutions.
• Conduct requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews, and data analysis to define current state and design future-state processes.
• Collaborate closely with IT and data engineering teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements, data integrity standards, and audit compliance needs.
• Support process automation, including data reconciliation, suspense handling, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain requirements traceability and partner with QA teams to validate system outputs.
• Support change management, user acceptance testing, and training to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a related field, preferably in Upstream Oil & Gas.
• Strong understanding of data flows across upstream operations.
• Proficient in Oil & Gas ERP systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
