As a test engineer, you will support antenna in package production testing by performing simulation, measurement, and analysis to root cause production test issues and manage the performance and reliability of the antenna in package tester.

Key job responsibilities

  • Act as responsible engineer for RFIC product test plan and production tester
  • Work with external test vendor to update and maintain production test hardware
  • Define test hardware and software requirements
  • Perform design verification on new test hardware
  • Perform failure analysis and root cause manufacturing issues in production
  • Collaborate with multiple teams across software and hardware to align test plan to system requirements for full test coverage
  • Interpret test results, troubleshooting issues, performing root-cause analysis for any test failures.

Export Control Requirement

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience with RF measurement equipment, including: power meters, spectrum analyzers, vector signal generators, network analyzers, oscilloscopes
  • Experience with working with front end RFICs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in Electrical or Communications Engineering or a related field
  • Strong knowledge on mmWave and OTA testing theories(conducted TX and RX parametric, radio performance such as TRP, TIS, etc). Good knowledge in RF PCB design, debug and development.
  • Experience in developing test procedures on RF ATE system(PXI platform and handler) and bench equipment (spectrum analyzer, VNA, signal generator, etc)
  • Experience with serial communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART)
  • Experience working with ASIC manufacturing and test, specifically IC package testing and Final Test
  • Experience conducting failure analysis and root cause (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.)
  • Experience with antenna test and measurement systems (anechoic chambers, CATRs, etc.)
  • Experience with high volume RFIC front end manufacturing and test
  • Experience with Python or C/C++ for test script development

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
