Applications are invited for the position of Online Recruitment and Marketing Associate in the Marketing Division, located at the Welland Campus The starting salary is $26.21 /hr for a 35 hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.

The Marketing department functions as an in-house marketing, graphic design and communications service for Niagara College, in the following areas:

Marketing consultation and plan development;

  • Design services;
  • Copywriting services;
  • Social & Digital Media;
  • Photography & Videography
  • Print services;
  • Web services; and
  • Event planning and promotional material.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Marketing, the incumbent is a key member of the College’s Marketing and Recruitment Division. The successful incumbent will engage prospective students, applicants and key influencers through various online channels.

  • *Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
  • Responsible for online recruitment needs via international division social media platforms
  • Facilitate and execute QA and A/B testing, segmentation and audience building in collaboration with Associate Director and cross functional teams
  • Work closely with the Marketing Automation Coordinator to evolve the targeting strategy to ensure campaigns are as personalized and relevant to its audience
  • Assist with other projects as needed
  • *Qualifications**:
  • Applicants should have a three (3) year diploma/degree either in the field of Business - Sales or Marketing, or Communications with a marketing focus or similar field of study.
  • Proficient with a CRM.
  • Familiar with A/B testing and understanding of customer journey
  • Must have CMS platform experience like WordPress
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
  • Excellent project management, communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated experience writing for a digital environment.
  • Ability to assess audience/customer needs and develop content strategies to meet specific needs.
  • High level of organizational ability and ability to deal with multiple deadlines and demands.
