Has responsibility to support all functions of the BI Data Center, assure data quality, and provide analytical support. Collaborate in the design and implementation of systemic improvements toward effectiveness and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of systemic improvements to processes and data standards to improve the quality of division and distributor reported sales data, customer master data, and other master data used throughout the company.

Distribution

  • Facilitate the processing of monthly distributor reported sales files.
  • Engage with teams and tools used to assign sales correctly to accounts, branches, products.
  • Interface with distributors to assure data quality and timely reporting that conforms to Parker reporting deadlines.
  • Provide guidance to new reporting distributors to communicate requirements and analyze test files.
  • Troubleshoot distributor reported sales issues. Communicate with distributors and sales management to remediate; prepare and submit corrections.
  • Work with team towards continuous process improvements and automation projects.
  • Fulfill requests related to distributor authorization support, AMS, et al. used for reporting and non-reporting distributors for Parker’s Where-To-Buy distributor locator site.

Divisions

  • Monitor inbound flow of direct sales from sales companies and divisions worldwide. Interface with division contacts to alert them of missing files or other anomalies to assure timely processing that conforms to Parker deadlines.
  • Troubleshoot division sales issues raised by colleagues.

Sales Team Assignments for Compensation

  • Work closely with sales teams in NA and Asia Pacific to define and maintain product code, trade area, and account assignments necessary for accurate sales compensation from division and distributor sales.

Other

  • Complete requests to add/update account and address data attributes, which are received from various sources for Parker’s customer master and downstream systems.
  • Maintain user security setups in systems for which BIDC is responsible.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field (e.g., Business Admin, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems) or equivalent Parker experience.
  • 2+ years related experience that includes data extraction and analytics, data quality, and database relational structures
  • Outstanding analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Self-starter able to independently complete tasks accurately and promptly.
  • Proficient data wrangler who can use appropriate tools to effectively diagnose, present, and remediate data issues.
  • Experience with SQL tools, Power BI, and Alteryx or equivalent reporting and workflow tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and pivot table design, macros a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills. Able to communicate clearly and effectively to distributors, divisions, sales management, and other colleagues.
  • Able to document processes effectively.
  • Experience with sales team assignment maintenance a plus.
