I recently migrated my alcoholic beverage eCommerce business from WooCommerce to Odoo Online to centralize Accounting, Inventory, Invoicing, Purchasing, POS, and Website.
The system is already set up.
I now need an experienced, hands-on Odoo Accountant to walk me through how to actually run the books day to day.
This is not a setup or configuration job.
It is a practical knowledge-transfer session.
What You Will Do
Review my current Odoo accounting and inventory setup
Walk me through real transaction flows in Odoo
Show me, practically
Journal entries and postings
Sales, refunds, delivery charges, and pass-through costs
Expense tracking, purchases, and inventory valuation
Owner's capital, drawings, and loans to the company
Bank and payment gateway reconciliation
Explain what should happen daily, weekly, and monthly
Proactively raise real eCommerce scenarios and how to handle them in Odoo
Important Context
We can't afford a full-time accountant yet.
I want to do this correctly myself for now, using best practices.
Who Should Apply (Very Important)
You are an everyday Odoo Accountant
You use Odoo Accounting and Inventory regularly
You have real eCommerce + inventory experience
You understand clearing accounts, reconciliation, and real-world Odoo flows
Do not apply if you "know accounting" but don't actively use Odoo
Do not apply if your experience is mostly theory or configuration
Additional Notes
New to Upwork is fine — I'm happy to give first gigs
Session length: 2 hours only
Screen sharing required
This may lead to future sessions if it goes well
Contract duration of less than 1 month. with 30 hours per week.
