Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Digital Illustrator & Creative Specialist who excels in digital illustration and graphic design, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating distinctive, visually appealing designs. This role primarily involves creating original digital artwork for our diverse product lines, while also supporting occasional hands-on production tasks. The ideal candidate must have advanced proficiency in digital design tools and a strong portfolio demonstrating versatility and creativity in digital art.

This is a full-time, in-person position located in our New Orleans studio. Standard work hours are Monday–Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the option for a 7-hour workday instead of the standard 8-hour shift.

Optional weekend opportunities are available for those interested in participating in art markets and live on-site engraving or branding activations, particularly during peak seasons.

Key Responsibilities

Create sophisticated, original digital illustrations and designs for jewelry, home décor, kitchen gifts, and other product lines.
Develop compelling inspiration boards, style guides, and design concepts aligned with brand identity.
Translate artistic concepts across various mediums while ensuring consistency in brand aesthetics.
Prepare and optimize digital files for printing, engraving, and production.
Occasionally assist in engraving and customization processes, ensuring high-quality final products.
Manage multiple design projects effectively, meeting deadlines with attention to detail.
Collaborate with team members to refine designs and receive constructive feedback.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to design software and production equipment.
Contribute to a positive, organized, and creative work environment.

Qualifications & Skills

Proven expertise in digital illustration, graphic design, or related creative fields.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is required. Experience with CorelDRAW, Canva, or LightBurn is beneficial but not essential.
Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, adaptability to multiple artistic styles, and digital art proficiency.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with skill in prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
Effective communication skills and collaborative mindset.
Enthusiasm for continuously expanding creative and technical skill sets.
Willingness to participate occasionally in weekend and evening events (optional).
Experience with laser cutters, UV printers, and vinyl plotters is desired but not required—we provide comprehensive training on our specific machinery.
