Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. DHL Express is a global leader in logistics and express delivery services, seeking a Manager for Digital Transformation. This role involves leading the integration of modern digital technologies to enhance business operations and customer value, while collaborating with various teams to develop and execute a digital transformation roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Analyze existing as-is business processes, system workflows and capabilities to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
- Evaluate business use cases to determine where the integration of specific technology platforms, software, and tools (e.g., AI, automation, big data) can provide a strategic advantage or solution
- Design optimized to-be digital workflows that utilize AI and/or automation to maximize efficiency and customer experience
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, data scientists, IT partners to translate complex technical strategies into clear, actionable business strategies and requirements for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define a multi-year digital transformation roadmap that aligns technology investments with high-level business goals and long-term strategy
- Convert digital transformation roadmap into structured, measurable, and actionable plans
- Lead digital transformation initiatives, monitor and provide stakeholders the update about current progress, risks and next steps in the plans
- Leverage data analytics to gain insights into process performance and project outcomes
- Develop communication and training plans to ensure employees are prepared, trained, and willing to adopt new digital systems and operational models to overcome resistance to change
- Stay current with the latest trends and developments in the digital and tech space (e.g., new AI developments) to identify opportunities for continuous innovation
- Provide advice, assistance, or knowledge transfer to less experienced colleagues
- Possesses robust analytical and critical-thinking skills, leveraging them to drive effective decision-making
- Demonstrates self-motivation and resilience, excels in navigating and contributing to diverse, dynamic cross-cultural teams
- Acts as the primary liaison between the project teams and ensure alignment on key objectives
- Fosters collaboration between disparate departments (IT, Operations, Finance, and Sales)
- Manages relationships and contacts with external service providers to ensure project deliverables and quality standards
- Defines metrics for success and holds project teams accountable for meeting targets
- Identifies risks associated with transformation projects proactively and develops contingency plans
- Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills in managing diverse demands, delivering high-quality results across multiple concurrent priorities and timelines
- Maintains high degree of precision and attention to detail when creating, managing documentation, defining requirements, and producing project outputs
- Ensures all new systems and operational procedures meet stringent regulatory and internal security compliance requirements
- Provides leadership and strategic guidance on the optimal application of technology and digital transformation best practices
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Information Systems/ Data Science/ Engineering/ Business Administration
- Familiarity with AI & ML technologies
- Familiarity with Data Analytic (SQL, Python, and BI platforms)
- Familiarity with Robotic Process Automation's
- Experiences with Software Development and Methodologies (e.g, Agile), and UX/UI principles
- Understanding of cybersecurity and protective measures
- Project / Program management certification (e.g., PRINCE2)
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in digital transformation, IT consulting, or strategic technology roles
