The Director, Customer Master Data & Governance is responsible for leading the strategy, governance, and operational excellence of customer master data across the US Medical Product and Distribution (USMPD) organization as a key part of the Distribution Enablement team. This critical role ensures the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of customer data, enabling optimized commercial execution, compliance, and sustained business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for customer master data management across the USMPD organization.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team responsible for customer master data maintenance, quality, and governance.
  • Ensure master data initiatives are strategically aligned with overarching business objectives and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Effectively communicate data quality metrics, insights, and business impact to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Foster strong cross-functional partnerships with Sales, Finance, IT, Compliance, and other key departments to ensure customer data supports critical business needs.
  • Drive strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing data quality, promoting data stewardship, and optimizing data integration processes.
  • Set clear performance objectives, provide comprehensive training, and foster career development for team members.
  • Leverage data insights to guide strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for process optimization and business growth.
  • Prioritize and oversee the timely execution of key initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Drive consensus and alignment across business units on customer data definitions, hierarchies, and governance strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Information Systems, Data Science) or equivalent practical experience preferred
  • Progressive leadership experience in master data management, data governance, and/or data quality frameworks, preferably within a large enterprise environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing, implementing, and maturing data governance and data quality programs.
  • Proven ability to strategically influence and persuade key cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership teams.
  • Exceptional critical thinking, strategic innovation, and decisive problem-solving skills, particularly in ambiguous or complex situations.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with a proven track record of building, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data concepts and business impacts effectively to diverse audiences, including senior management.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive consensus and collaboration within a team environment to achieve desired results.
  • Experience leading large-scale programs and initiatives with a high degree of accountability and successful outcomes.
  • Proficiency in navigating organizational change management and fostering a culture of data stewardship.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from data.
  • Ability to work from the Dublin, OH office 3x per week, if local to the area.

Anticipated salary range:$105,600 - $188,500
