Join us as an intern on a 12-month industrial placement in the B2B & Pro Photographer Imaging Customer & Channel Marketing team, and discover the world of Canon, where we use imaging to transform our world. You’ll be gaining real life marketing experience, assuming real responsibility and making an impact from the get-go. For this fast-paced placement we are looking for customer minded individuals with a self-motivated approach to work, used to working in a high pressure, time sensitive environment with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
What awaits you?
- You will be part of a marketing planning team and help design and execute project plans focusing on Imaging (photography, videography & print) in both the B2B & Pro Photographer markets. Adopting a commercial mind set, your innovative thinking will allow you to demonstrate your passion in developing robust marketing concepts, identify measures of success, and generate new ideas and areas of improvement.
- Working towards your own objectives, you will be assigned specific tasks as well as defined projects to deliver, which will be based upon immediate business needs and strategic activity to support longer term goals.
- You will use your analytical skills to monitor the performance of activities and take appropriate action to provide solutions to problems and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Working as part of a team, you will support the delivery of events and exhibitions targeting both the B2B & Pro Photographer Imaging markets, where you will be assigned a specific role before, during and after the event, and be focused on ensuring successful outcomes.
- You will work directly with the B2B & Pro Photographer Imaging Sales teams and related sales channel partners to deliver planned activities and provide ad-hoc support.
- Working in collaboration with the Product, and PR & Communications teams, you will provide additional support to the wider marketing activities.
- Examples of areas you will experience: campaign activation, liaising with design and print agencies, events and exhibitions, photography workshops, incentive schemes, merchandise management, web content, customer communications, social media and more…!

- Studying towards a bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, Marketing, Economics, Psychology or a related field and on track to achieve at least a 2:1.
- Ability to work on your own and within a team, whilst building and maintaining good working relationships with a diverse range of people, and strong interpersonal skills, to influence and negotiate internally and externally to the organisation.
- Analytical skills with good attention to detail, and organisational and project planning skills with the ability to track projects and provide updates when asked.
- Ability to work under pressure with the energy to manage a busy workload. Confident by nature with the ability to use your own initiative to respond to a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding communication skills; both written and verbal.
- Good level of knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Most importantly, you must have the desire to learn.
