About Broadpeak Education
Broadpeak Capital, a U.S.-based venture firm founded by entrepreneur Tariq Farid, is launching a national education and workforce development division: Broadpeak Education. In collaboration with premier academic partners such as Babson College, Broadpeak Education will build and operate learning centers across the United States and, ultimately, worldwide. These centers will deliver credentialed programs in franchise operations, entrepreneurship, business management, information technology, and workforce advancement.
We are seeking a founding executive leader to build this division from the ground up. The Managing Director will work directly with the CEO and assume operational and strategic leadership over Broadpeak’s entire education portfolio.
This is a rare opportunity to architect a high-impact, nationally scalable education platform backed by a visionary founder and strong institutional partners.
What this looks like day to day
Division Leadership & Strategic Growth
- Serve as the senior executive responsible for launching and scaling Broadpeak Education.
- Lead the strategic planning, operational buildout, and execution of new education centers across the U.S., with future global expansion.
- Advise and partner directly with the CEO on all education-related strategy, investment decisions, and long-term vision.
- Build and lead high-performing teams including academic leadership, operations, admissions, and partnerships.
Program Development & Academic Partnerships
- Oversee the creation and delivery of accredited workforce and management training programs in partnership with Babson College.
- Ensure all programs meet U.S. regulatory, accreditation, and employer-alignment standards.
- Build pathways that support workforce advancement, franchise leadership, and small business growth.
Workforce Funding & Government Engagement
- Develop and maintain relationships with state and federal workforce agencies.
- Position Broadpeak Education programs to qualify for WIOA funding, ETPL eligibility, and other workforce tuition support mechanisms.
- Leverage federal/state funding streams to expand access, reduce tuition burden, and accelerate revenue growth.
Operational Management & P&L Ownership
- Establish all operational systems for a multi-site education organization, including staffing, budgets, compliance, and technology.
- Manage full P&L and build scalable business models for repeatable expansion.
- Ensure operational excellence, strong student outcomes, and positive stakeholder relationships.
Partnerships, Employer Engagement & Brand Growth
- Build employer partnerships that support enrollment, internships, job placements, and workforce pipelines.
- Represent Broadpeak Education with government agencies, industry groups, accreditation bodies, and media outlets.
- Develop strategies to expand awareness and credibility of Broadpeak Education as a national training leader.
Technology & Learning Innovation
- Implement digital learning platforms, LMS systems, analytics tools, and modern instructional technologies.
- Support a blended learning model combining on-site training, virtual instruction, and competency-based learning.
What you bring
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience in education management, workforce development, or multi-site operational leadership.
- Proven track record building or scaling education, training, or credentialing organizations.
- Strong understanding of the U.S. education landscape, including accreditation, workforce funding (WIOA/ETPL), employer partnerships, and state regulatory requirements.
- Experience leading a large P&L and building cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a U.S.-accredited institution required; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience in franchise systems, entrepreneurship development, vocational training, or corporate learning is highly valued.
- Ability to travel frequently and represent Broadpeak Education in national and international contexts.
- Entrepreneurial, mission-driven mindset with the ability to build from zero.
