Marketing Intern
Location: Wood Dale, IL
Program Dates: June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026
Join AAR's Marketing team at our global headquarters in Wood Dale for an engaging 10-week summer internship. As a Marketing Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting AAR's brand, events, and Corporate Marketing initiatives while working closely with cross-functional partners across the organization.
What you'll be responsible for
- Spend 10 weeks gaining hands-on experience across key marketing functions, including product marketing, corporate materials (advertising), and events.
- Assist with the development and execution of marketing campaigns, advertisements, content creation, and promotional initiatives across multiple channels.
- Conduct market and competitive research to support business development, product positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
- Assist in preparing marketing materials such as presentations and sales collateral.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, and Corporate Communications to ensure alignment and consistency of messaging.
- Develop professional skills through mentorship, learning sessions, and exposure to marketing tools, platforms, and best practices.
- Build a strong foundation for a future career in Marketing, Graphic Design, or related business disciplines at AAR or within the broader business community.
Performance Objectives
- Learning & Development: Participate in structured learning sessions and mentorship opportunities with marketing leaders and subject matter experts across the organization.
- Project Management: Take ownership of a meaningful marketing-related project, applying creativity and analytical thinking to develop insights, recommendations, and final deliverables presented to Marketing Leadership.
- Business Acumen: Gain a strong understanding of how a global organization operates by learning how marketing supports growth, customer engagement, and brand strategy within the aerospace industry.
What you need to be successful in the role
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite applications (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) is a plus.
- Creative mindset with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while completing tasks as part of a team. Why

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $20/hr. This range reflects the base pay for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location.
