Senior Test Engineer - System Test

**Overview:** We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Engineer - System Test to join our team at Western Digital. As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by developing and executing comprehensive test plans, identifying and resolving defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve test methodologies and strategies. **Responsibilities:**
- Utilize sound test engineering principles and knowledge of the product and technology to ensure the product meets functional and customer requirements and is ready to ship on schedule
- Owns product validation regarding test plan definition, test plan execution, and primary lead in failure analysis
- Primary lead in performing performance characterization of product and tracking down any observed anomalies
- Contribute to overall test schedule development
- Write test plans for new product features, generate test matrices, test reports, and other relevant test documentation
- Define new tests based on customer feedback and defect fixes
- Execute existing/regression test cases for the project during the entire product development cycle
- Work closely with other system test, hardware, ASIC, and firmware engineers to improve test methodology and develop new tests and strategies
- Configure customer hardware and software systems; troubleshoot problems to get to root cause
- Maintain customer and test equipment to current revision
- Be an expert Guide for Automation, Script reviews
- Experience with Secure Boot, Secure Firmware Download, Secure Debug, Authentication, Attestation, Data in Flight Encryption, IPsec, Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.3, Asymmetric (Public-Private key) Cryptography, Symmetric Cryptography (i.e. AES-GCM), and Quantum-safe (Post-Quantum) Cryptography
- *Qualifications:**
- **MUST POSSES THESE REQUIREMENTS**
+ Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related discipline
+ A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Ethernet Storage/Networking
+ Networking protocols, Storage NVME
+ Programming experience utilizing Python, or other scripting languages
