NJ Small Business Marketing Consultant Needed

Hello I'm operations manager/social media director of our family's furniture upholstery store called Saul's Upholstery (named after my father), Bloomfield, NJ. We've been in business for over 30 years and we offer the following:

• premium upholstery & drapery services
• furniture repair
• wood refinishing
• wood caning repair
• pickup and delivery
• large selection of fabric samples in store

to commercial businesses and "local residents" in the NJ/NY areas.

Over the years, the business serviced many restaurants and homes leading to fantastic referrals from customers. In 2020 we got an influx of new, younger customers. I started to promote custom upholstered ebike seats online (FB/Youtube/IG while the ebike sales were hot during the pandemic) with my photography and videography skills. The customers reacted well to my "marketing" efforts and showed their support with plenty of Google reviews and over 400k in sales. I knew right there this was something to be exploited in the future. This year we discontinued those items and went back to furniture and drapery services.

My father selling the business to me and my partner when he retires in a few years. However, I have some flexibility in regards to our marketing efforts. I went to school for something else completely so I'm learning along the way. Until we have the budget to hire someone internally for marketing, I'm unofficially taking on the role of Marketing / Digital Advertising/PR. The business has 6 people including myself and we hire about 3 subcontractors for special projects that we can't do in the store due to space constraints.

The goal of this marketing effort is to bring more awareness, elevate the brand over time and to have the ability to charge more for each service. We're looking for an experienced consultant that understands the needs of a brick and mortar store such as ours and can show me how to do the following:

• Metrics to chart when looking at improvement
• Basics of Google/Meta Ads
• How to find our customers
• How to best do market research
• Which method of digital marketing is best for our customers
• Content advice for social media (YT/IG)

I'm not looking for someone to do this for me, but instead to help me understand these topics. Feel free to reach out if you are a right fit.
