Role Overview
The Marketing and Commercial Manager will play a key role in shaping and delivering the company's marketing and commercial strategy. Working closely with the Director, the successful candidate will promote consultancy and business services, identify new growth opportunities, and support client acquisition and retention. This role requires a combination of marketing expertise, commercial awareness, strategic thinking, and strong stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise closely with the Director to define the range of consultancy and business services to be promoted and contribute to the development and delivery of marketing and commercial strategies.
- Participate in setting revenue, client acquisition, and growth targets, and develop strategies to attract new clients, retain existing clients, and expand service uptake.
- Conduct market research on industry trends, client demand, competitor offerings, pricing models, and target sectors to inform service development and commercial decision-making.
- Compile and analyze marketing performance data, sales leads, enquiries, and client feedback, producing detailed reports and actionable recommendations for the Director.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement integrated marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, website content, online advertising, email marketing, social media, and professional networking activities.
- Oversee and coordinate marketing and promotional activities, managing any internal or external resources involved in marketing delivery to ensure objectives are met efficiently.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, referral partners, professional networks, and stakeholders to enhance brand awareness and generate new business opportunities.
- Support the preparation and negotiation of commercial proposals, consultancy agreements, and service packages, ensuring clear communication of scope, pricing, and deliverables.
- Prepare and present regular reports on marketing effectiveness, pipeline development, conversion rates, and overall commercial performance, with recommendations for continuous improvement.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in a marketing, or business development role.
- Strong understanding of marketing strategy, digital marketing, and commercial growth.
- Experience conducting market research and analyzing performance data.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work strategically and collaboratively in a consultancy or professional services environment.
- Experience within management consultancy, business services, or a professional services firm.
- Relevant professional qualifications in marketing or business.
