With a growing presence and a loyal fanbase, we’re seeking a forward-thinking, results-oriented Director of Marketing to lead brand and digital marketing strategy for Fat Rosie’s. This role will focus on building and executing brand campaigns, managing all online platforms, driving guest engagement through digital content, and generating traffic and revenue through innovation. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and strategic thinker with a passion for hospitality and a deep understanding of digital media and technology.

The Director of Marketing will work closely with Operations, Catering & Events, Culinary, HR, and external agencies to ensure cohesive, results-driven marketing that supports both short-term promotions and long-term brand growth.

Responsibilities

Understands and champions the Fat Rosie’s brand voice, positioning, and storytelling across all digital and marketing channels.

Creates and manages the marketing calendar to; 1) curate participation in relevant cultural moments; 2) ensure timely execution of all marketing campaigns and activations; and 3) communicate planned campaigns and activities to both internal teams and external partners.

Leads and optimizes all digital initiatives including email marketing, paid media, website content and performance, SEO, SEM, and third-party platforms (Yelp, Google, OpenTable, Door Dash, etc.).

Strategizes and oversees content creation and publishing across all social platforms. Develop campaigns that grow engagement, build community, and drive brand awareness.

Brings new ideas and creative marketing approaches to the team. Identify digital trends and technologies that can elevate the brand and guest experience.

Develops and scales guest retention strategies to increase visit frequency and average check size.

Monitors campaign performance and digital KPIs. Generate reports, insights, and recommendations to improve ROI and marketing effectiveness. Track key metrics including website traffic, conversion rates, email open/click rates, paid media performance (ROAS), follower growth, and online engagement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field

7+ years of progressive experience in brand and/or digital marketing, preferably within the restaurant or hospitality, industry

Expertise in email marketing, paid social, SEO, SEM, and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, etc.)

Proven success in leading digital strategy and growing brand presence through innovative tactics

Highly organized, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Strong content creation and social media management skills

Experience managing external partners, agencies, or freelance designers/content creators

Strong analytical skills with experience using tools like Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp,etc.)

Ability to travel regularly to restaurant locations and events to oversee activations, ensure brand consistency, and support local marketing efforts

Must be based in the greater Chicago area to support in-person collaboration, local brand partnerships, and on-site leadership

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs, such as restaurant openings, special events, and promotional campaigns
