Sassy Woof, a rapidly growing online retailer of MODERN DOG ACCESSORIES & APPAREL based out of Sterling, VA, is seeking a talented and experienced E-Commerce Marketing and Content Manager to join our pawesome team! You’ll be a key player in the marketing and content decision-making process while contributing your expertise and leadership to our dynamic team helping us to keep those tails wagging (and sales booming)!

This position is ideal for a qualified marketing specialist who has strong knowledge and practice of social media, marketing, content, as well as general experience in small business operations.

Position Summary

We are seeking a strategic and visionary to lead the execution and optimization of Sassy Woof’s digital marketing initiatives. This individual will play a critical role in managing day-to-day content and campaign execution across platforms like Shopify, Klaviyo, and social media (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest), while also owning key performance metrics and marketing strategy. A focus on key metrics with an emphasis on data-driven decisions is critical to this role. You’ll lead our small but mighty marketing and content team, drive customer engagement, and help shape the future and positioning of our brand.

Key Responsibilities:Digital Execution & Optimization

Own and manage product pages on Shopify, ensuring content accuracy, optimized search engine optimization (SEO), and upholding brand standards.
Plan, build, and execute segmented email campaigns—monitoring open rates, click-through rates (CTRs), and conversion metrics.
Own and manage the content calendar and across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook)—collaborating with graphic designers and content creators to maintain consistent, on-brand messaging.

Strategic Leadership & Performance Management

Set OKRs and KPIs for the marketing and content team aligned to company goals—focusing on ROAS, customer lifetime value, impressions, CTR, engagement rates, cart abandonment, and more.
Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance across channels—providing actionable insights for continued improvement and growth.
Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial and customer experience teams to ensure cohesive and impactful customer communication.

Team & Culture

Manage and mentor individual contributors, consisting of photographers, videographers, graphic designers, and marketing associates.
Bring a strong POV to creative brainstorms and marketing planning cycles. Propose newness to marketing initiatives; and strategize based on data and metrics.
Champion the voice of our organization—pets and humans alike—by executing meaningful, story-driven campaigns that reflect who we are.
