As part of our Events, Marketing and Communications team, you'll play a pivotal role in creating, managing, and optimizing engaging multimedia content to enhance JABC’s brand visibility and grow community engagement. Your efforts will directly contribute to our ambitious goal of serving over 100,000 B.C. youth annually.
We acknowledge that our work spans many territories and that our head office resides on the traditional and ancestral unceded shared territory of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations peoples.
- *Responsibilities**
You will report to the Director, Events, Marketing and Communications and your key duties will include:
- Craft, oversee, and schedule engaging social media content across JABC’s platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Develop and curate dynamic multimedia content across diverse digital platforms, ranging from videos and presentations to podcasts and interactive assets.
- Strategize and implement targeted digital campaigns, leveraging digital advertising to maximize outreach and drive conversion.
- Maintain websites with up-to-date and relevant content, ensuring alignment with JA’s brand identity and mission.
- Employ SEO best practices to optimize content for search engines, enhancing online visibility and performance tracking.
- Collaborate closely with JABC team members to orchestrate a cohesive communications calendar, facilitating consistent engagement with essential partners.
- Conceptualize, research, and write compelling articles and stories to be shared across digital platforms, enhancing engagement and storytelling efforts.
- Ensure unified messaging utilizing JA’s brand voice and guidelines across all communication channels.
- Provide support for events and student experiences, such as the Business Laureates of British Columbia Hall of Fame Gala, Discover Your Pitch, and JABC TechWorks.
- Maintain accurate file management and URL organization.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required to support departmental objectives.
- *Qualifications**
- Diploma or degree in communications, journalism, business, marketing, media studies, digital media or related discipline.
- Proficiency in creating and editing multimedia content.
- Strong writing and presentation skills.
- Experience with social media posting and analytics platforms.
- Ability to provide samples of previous work demonstrating digital content creation.
- Superior knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Creative and strategic thinker.

- *Compensation**
This is a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The salary range of this position is $50,000 to $70,000 per annum. Employment offers are determined by knowledge, experience, and internal equity.
An offer of employment with JABC is conditional upon the successful completion of reference checks along with a successful criminal record and vulnerable sector check, as required by applicable laws and regulations.
