Amazon is a global leader in e-commerce and technology, and they are seeking a Demand Planning Analyst to support their Prime Air autonomous drone delivery program. This role focuses on forecasting demand, planning materials, and ensuring operational readiness to meet cost and service targets for innovative last-mile delivery solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design supply chain solutions for Prime Air delivery operations focusing on forecasting, demand planning, and material planning to verify supply commitments
- Drive operational readiness to meet cost and service targets across multiple sites
- Develop short-term solutions supporting drone delivery center expansion
- Deliver accurate demand forecasts identifying growth, contraction, and business health
- Apply mathematical and statistical capabilities to understand supply-demand issues
- Develop KPIs enabling strategic decision-making for delivery capacity planning
- Work across transportation, tech, procurement, product, and warehousing teams at project/program level
- Serve as primary escalation point formulating solutions for operational problems
- Influence organizational leaders 1-2 levels above
- Analyze data identifying process gaps and implement improvements
- Complete root cause analysis and troubleshoot material discrepancies
- Track exceptional scenarios and report mitigation plans in business reviews
- Own team-level goals for productivity, quality, and utilization
- Participate in delivery operations product roadmap planning
Skills
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- 2+ years of supply chain experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Able to travel domestically or internationally with 24-48 hours notice
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
