Essential Functions
The Sales Promotion Specialist will operate within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting the implementation of Canadian promotional programs and the ongoing management and improvement of related sales reporting processes. This role will collaborate closely with the Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure the effective planning, coordination, and execution of sales promotions and product launches through an online ordering platform. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proven proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel and reporting skills. This position requires a detail-oriented professional capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and operational excellence.
· Assist with promotion plans and strategy to support the sales and margin plans.
· Work closely with Supply Chain, Sales and Marketing Teams to ensure a smooth release of new products and promotion execution for each promotion order period.
· Assist with all elements of the promotion plans, maintains promotion database, ensuring that all part numbers have been set up/priced, marketing materials have been proofed, samples ordered and product offers are loaded to online ordering system.
· Maintains and enhances databases to facilitate sales/promotions reporting, extracts sales data and maintenance of ERP sales orders.
· Manage online ordering system for all promotional offers and related price books
· Prepares weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for analysis and work with Managers to develop specialized reports and sales tools required by field sales team.
· Facilitate item set up, purchase order, and billing of special marketing projects
· Manage field inquiries regarding performance, current/historical sales and fill rates at the product level.
· Conduct order entry requests as needed
· Facilitate warehouse transfers
· Assis with proofing marketing materials
· Continuously looks for ways to improve processes to eliminate cost and waste
· Manage various projects and assignments as directed by supervisor
Requirements
- BA/BSc graduate in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- 2 years of experience in sales promotion, marketing operations, Supply Chain or a similar role
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
- Advanced Excel. Knowledge of Microsoft Access, VBA is a plus
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI or similar reporting tools is an asset
- Data management and reporting experience and ability to interpret and gather data for analysis
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach
- Excellent organizational, analytical, critical thinking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work collaboratively across departments
