This internship is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media management. As an intern, you will work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement social media strategies that align with our organization's goals.

The role involves creating and managing content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. You will learn how to create engaging content, manage multiple social media accounts, and analyze engagement metrics to inform future content decisions.

You will also have the opportunity to learn about influencer marketing, customer service, reputation management, advanced advertising, advanced analytics, non-social media digital advertising, and SEO.

Learning Objectives

Acquire a better understanding of our organization's services and programs, structure, culture, and relationship with Hope Through Housing
Develop social media management skills under the direction of the marketing team
Develop skills to successfully complete the internship program and may earn a certification specific to the program

Over 10 weeks, participants will learn social media marketing fundamentals, including social media networks, audiences, and content types, content creation, content management, multi-channel message amplification, graphics for social media, advertising, and analytics and analysis.

Time Schedule

Work schedules offer flexibility with some mandatory in-office meetings, including onboarding at the start of the program and scheduled events
Schedules will be determined jointly by the AVP of Marketing, Social Media Manager, and the Intern upon selection and hiring

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Operate computer and office equipment
Moderate walking, bending, and lifting under 20 pounds
Work is primarily sedentary in an office environment
Driving will be required for off-site meetings as necessary

Hiring Process

Applicants must be able to pass a thorough background check before beginning the internship in compliance with state and federal laws
An additional check will be conducted to allow interns to work with sensitive information
All hiring offers are contingent on passing both background checks

Duration and Funding

This position is funded through a grant, which authorizes employment from April 1, 2025, through March 31, 2027
Continued employment is dependent on renewed or continuing grant funding
