We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Ecommerce Manager with an exceptional, customer-centric understanding of the Amazon ecosystem. This unique role requires a professional who deeply understands the Amazon customer journey - from browsing to checkout, and post-purchase - allowing us to optimize our brand presence, drive sales, and enhance customer satisfaction across Amazon and other key dot com retailers (e.g., Walmart.com, Target.com, your own brand website).
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Amazon platform from a strategic business perspective, informed by a strong knowledge of online consumer behavior and the factors that drive successful ecommerce experiences. This role requires the ability to translate market insights and customer data into effective strategies for optimizing our presence and performance on Amazon and other online retail channels.
Key Responsibilities
Ecommerce Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive ecommerce strategies for Amazon and other dot com retailers, focusing on driving sales, improving brand visibility, and enhancing the customer journey
Platform Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of Amazon Vendor/Seller Central accounts and similar platforms for other retailers (e.g., Walmart.com), including product listing optimization, inventory management, and order fulfillment oversight
Merchandising and Conversion: Implement best practices for online merchandising, creating compelling product detail pages, A+ content, and brand store experiences that maximize conversion rates
Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze key ecommerce metrics, including traffic, conversion rates, sales performance, and customer reviews, to identify areas for improvement and inform strategic decisions
Digital Marketing: Manage and optimize advertising campaigns on platforms like Amazon Advertising to increase product visibility and drive targeted traffic
Customer Experience Focus: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience across all online touchpoints, from product discovery to post-purchase support
Market Intelligence: Stay informed about the latest trends in ecommerce, changes in platform algorithms and policies, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge
Qualifications
Ecommerce Management Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in ecommerce management, with a significant focus on the Amazon platform (Vendor or Seller Central)
Understanding of Consumer Behavior: Demonstrated ability to analyze online consumer behavior, understand purchasing drivers, and apply these insights to optimize ecommerce strategies
Multi-Platform Experience: Experience managing product catalogs and optimizing online presence on other major retailer websites (e.g., Walmart.com, Target.com)
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating engaging product descriptions and marketing copy
Organizational Skills: Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects in a dynamic ecommerce environment
