Media Sales Director - Canada
A leading premium digital media owner is entering an exciting new chapter expanding its data, audience, and digital advertising capabilities while continuing to grow a well-established portfolio of agency and brand partnerships.
They’re now hiring a Media Sales Director to take full ownership of the Canadian market, driving both existing revenue and new digital growth.
The Role
This is a senior commercial position for a high-performing, hands-on sales leader who loves revenue generation, thrives in transformation, and knows how to build deep agency and brand relationships.
You’ll be responsible for
- Owning and growing a sizeable portfolio across major holding companies and key independents
- Leading high-value annual and quarterly partnerships
- Driving the shift toward data-led, audience-based and contextual advertising solutions
- Increasing brand-direct revenue and identifying new client categories
- Bringing strong sales discipline - outreach, pipeline building, forecasting, CRM rigour
- Being a senior ambassador for the business across the Canadian market
- Helping shape the future product and commercial strategy as the organisation evolves
What You’ll Bring
- 7+ years’ experience in digital media, publisher sales, data-led media, or integrated partnerships
- A strong track record of closing high-value deals and exceeding ambitious targets
- Excellent relationships across media agencies (WPP, Omnicom, IPG, Dentsu, Publicis, Havas)
- Experience selling audience, data, contextual or multi-channel media solutions
- A hungry, proactive, new-business mindset - someone who loves generating revenue
- Strong Salesforce/CRM discipline and an organised, process-led sales approach
- A positive, collaborative style - sets the pace, lifts the culture, and leads by example
