National Grid is hiring an Enterprise Transformation Manager for our U.S. Integrated Design & Deployment Office (IDDO). This role is located in our Brooklyn, NY or Waltham, MA office. This is a hybrid role, with a mix of office and remote work within National Grid’s service territory.

This position will report up to the Chief Transformation Officer. We work with the NG executive leadership team to develop transformation plans and implement initiatives to achieve our goals. We set the pace and keep executives and their teams on track to deliver excellence on an aggressive timeline. We work cross-functionally to remove roadblocks and share best practices. We are also the driving force behind changing the way the company works to be more transparent, innovative and focused on performance.
National Grid’s new U.S. Integrated Design & Deployment Office (IDDO) is dedicated to successfully delivering large-scale technology-enabled transformation. The IDDO ensures that transformation programs are planned, sequenced, and de-risked effectively across our U.S. business. Key Accountabilities
- Govern & facilitate program teams to identify, understand & de-risk critical resource constraints, interdependencies (e.g. a delay in one program impacting another program’s timeline), and user impacts
- Drive collaboration with business operations and program teams through top-notch stakeholder management & communications; plan and lead integrated design sprints and workshops to build alignment across programs
- Drive quality & consistency of program outcomes, aligned with National Grid’s strategic goals
- Improve how we plan, prioritize, and track the benefits of transformation programs
- Build & execute scenario analysis & quantify the cost/benefit impact of portfolio interventions (e.g. changing scope, delaying, accelerating, resequencing)
- Execute portfolio governance including facilitating collective program decisions and escalations; building and maintaining reporting deliverables as needed including status reports, RAID logs, risk registers, etc.
- Drive unified “air traffic control” across programs’ change management, communication, and organizational readiness efforts; de-risk specific change impact “hot spots” between programs
- Build, iterate, get buy-in, and execute an overall change and communications campaign for U.S. Major Programs; build the overarching narrative in collaboration with our Corporate Communications Team
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture teams to improve technical integrations between programs and plan future investments against our technology roadmap
- Partner with Data Leaders to define and govern program-critical data, and build data maturity across programs
- Build & iterate efficient, repeatable processes for all the above within a brand new team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum), and graduate degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in strategy consulting, transformation delivery, change management planning & execution, and/or technology portfolio management
- Experience with design thinking / workshop facilitation
- Experience and expertise in quantifying and tracking benefits realization
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze data (primarily MS Excel), assess complex issues, draw conclusions, and provide recommendations
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal and storytelling / communication skills (primarily MS PowerPoint) with stakeholders at all levels including C-level leadership
- Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams & diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced environment

Salary
$161k - $170k a year in Brooklyn, NY.
$150k - $158k a year in Waltham, MA.

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
