If so, you’ll thrive here. We are seeking a Marketing & Business Development Coordinator to join our team and help us elevate the support we provide to our growing client base. This is a remote-friendly role with opportunities to visit client locations to better understand their operations and audiences.

You will help coordinate strategic marketing initiatives, support business development activities, collaborate with internal creative and analytics teams, and contribute to the execution of integrated campaigns across digital and traditional channels. The successful candidate will work closely with account managers, creative teams, and client stakeholders to help plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels. This role is ideal for a recent university graduate who is eager to learn, comfortable working with data, and excited to visit client locations to better understand their businesses and audiences.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client & Agency Liaison

  • Act as a bridge between our agency and client companies, helping ensure clear communication and alignment.
  • Participate in client meetings (virtual and on-site) to understand objectives, clarify requirements, and document next steps.
  • Assist in preparing client presentations, meeting summaries, and status updates.
  • Maintain accurate records of client priorities, approvals, and timelines.

2. Marketing Strategy Support

  • Assist in market, audience, and competitor research to inform client marketing strategies.
  • Contribute ideas to strategy sessions around campaign concepts, positioning, messaging, and channel mix.
  • Support the development of campaign briefs for internal creative, media, and digital teams.
  • Help translate strategy into clear, actionable plans and timelines.

3. Business & Sales Development

  • Support the business development pipeline by:
  • Helping identify new opportunities within existing client accounts (upsell/cross-sell).
  • Conducting basic research on potential new clients and industries.
  • Assisting with outreach lists, introductions, and follow-up communication.
  • Support the preparation of proposals, pitches, and RFP responses, including:
  • Drafting sections of proposals (company background, suggested strategies, timelines).
  • Assembling case studies, results summaries, and marketing examples.
  • Track and update business development activities in CRM or tracking tools (e.g., leads, opportunities, follow-ups).
  • Collaborate with the team on revenue growth initiatives, such as packaging new service offerings or campaign ideas tailored to client needs.

4. Content Creation & Campaign Execution

  • Support the creation of marketing content, which may include:
  • Social media posts and basic social ad copy.
  • Blog posts, simple landing page copy, and email marketing content.
  • Promotional one-pagers, sales collateral, and internal pitch decks.
  • Assist with content calendars, scheduling, and coordination of approvals.
  • Coordinate with designers, copywriters, and third-party vendors to ensure timely delivery and brand consistency.

5. Marketing Analytics & Reporting

  • Monitor and track key marketing and sales-related metrics, such as:
  • Campaign reach and engagement
  • Website traffic and lead form fills
  • Email performance and basic conversion data
  • Prepare reports and dashboards that summarize performance, insights, and recommendations.
  • Help identify opportunities for optimization (e.g., A/B testing ideas, audience refinements, content adjustments).

6. On-Site Visits & Business Understanding

  • Travel periodically to client locations to:
  • Observe operations, customer interactions, and brand experience on the ground.
  • Capture insights, photos, or short-form content (where appropriate) for marketing use.
  • Build rapport with client stakeholders and better understand their challenges and goals.
  • Share site visit findings with internal teams to refine strategies and business development approaches.

7. Administrative & Project Support

  • Help manage project timelines, task lists, and internal coordination across departments.
  • Maintain organized folders, shared documents, and client-specific materials.
  • Support invoice-related or scope-tracking admin as needed (e.g., hours, deliverables logs).

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Experience

  • 1–2 years of experience in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related role (internships, co-op, or part-time experience considered an asset).
  • Experience in student clubs, case competitions, fundraising, or campus ambassador roles related to marketing or sales is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of digital marketing channels and concepts (social media, content marketing, email, basic SEO/ads).
  • Comfort with productivity tools, such as:
  • Google Workspace or Microsoft Office (Docs/Word, Sheets/Excel, Slides/PowerPoint).
  • Presentation tools for decks and proposals.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn:
  • CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) for tracking leads and opportunities.
  • Analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights).
  • Simple design/visual tools (e.g., Canva) for basic layouts or mockups.

Working Conditions

  • Employment Type: Full-time, entry-level.
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid – combination of remote work and in-office days (schedule to be determined based on team and client needs).
  • Travel:
  • Occasional travel to client locations (primarily within Canada) is required.
  • Must be willing and able to visit sites, attend meetings, and support events.
  • Hours: Standard business hours, with some flexibility around client meetings, launch dates, and events.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.50-$23.50 per hour
