Position: Retail & eCommerce Manager
Location: Minneapolis, MN or Dallas-Fort Worth, TX (must be located near either location)
Work arrangement: Hybrid

Summary
The Retail & eCommerce Manager is responsible for managing and growing mass retail customer accounts across brick-and-mortar, eCommerce, and omni-channel platforms. This role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned mass retail partners and plays a critical role in driving sales performance, managing assortments, supporting eCommerce execution, and leading product development initiatives in collaboration with internal teams, customers, and vendor partners.
The ideal candidate has experience working at a large national retailer, understands the complexities of omni-channel retail, and can successfully balance client management, digital execution, and new product development.
Duties and Responsibilities
Retail & Client Partnership
- Own day-to-day management of assigned mass retail partners, serving as the primary customer contact
- Develop strong relationships with retail buyers, planners, merchandising, and digital teams
- Manage annual line reviews, assortment planning, pricing, and promotional strategies
- Drive revenue growth, margin performance, and long-term customer partnerships
- Prepare and present business reviews, forecasts, and growth initiatives
eCommerce & Omni-Channel Execution
- Manage retailer eCommerce assortments across platforms, marketplaces, and drop-ship programs
- Partner with customer digital teams to optimize product content, assortment strategy, pricing, and promotions
- Support execution of omni-channel programs including BOPIS, ship-from-store, and drop-ship models
- Analyze digital performance metrics (sales, conversion, content health) and recommend actions to improve results
Product Development
- Lead product development initiatives for retail and eCommerce channels
- Identify white-space opportunities, trend insights, and customer needs to drive new product concepts
- Work cross-functionally with design, sourcing, quality, and operations teams to bring products to market
- Manage timelines, costing, packaging, compliance, and customer approvals
- Ensure products align with customer strategies, pricing targets, and channel-specific requirements
Vendor & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with vendors and manufacturing partners to ensure product quality, cost competitiveness, and on-time delivery
- Work closely with internal teams including sales, marketing, supply chain, purchasing, and finance
- Support inventory planning and forecasting efforts tied to retail and eCommerce demand
Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze sales trends, forecasts, inventory levels, and performance metrics across channels
- Identify risks and opportunities and recommend strategic actions
- Maintain accurate reporting and communication with leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in retail, eCommerce, or omni-channel management
- Proven experience working in or with large national or mass retail customers
- Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms, digital merchandising, and omni-channel retail models
- Experience with product development in a consumer goods or retail environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting drop-ship or marketplace programs
- Familiarity with retail systems such as item setup, EDI, and digital content tools
- Background in consumer products, seasonal, or trend-driven categories
- Experience working with domestic and/or international vendors
Physical Demands (Typical / Essential Functions)
- Sedentary to light physical activity for extended periods
- Prolonged sitting at a desk while working on a computer
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, data entry, phone use, and operating office equipment
- Frequent verbal communication for meetings, presentations, and calls (in person and virtual)
- Visual acuity required for reviewing data, digital content, reports, and product information
- Occasional standing and walking within an office environment
- Occasional lifting of light objects such as samples, marketing materials, or packages, generally up to 10–15 pounds
- Occasional travel may be required (e.g., customer meetings, line reviews, vendor meetings, or trade shows), which could involve walking trade show floors or retail stores for extended periods
Compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
