Business Transformation Leader & Strategy Deployment Project Manager

Role Summary

We are seeking a PMP-certified Project Manager to lead strategic transformation initiatives across the organization. This role is critical in aligning business objectives with actionable plans, ensuring successful execution of strategy deployment frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management methodologies and experience with tools such as XMatrix, A3 thinking, and strategy deployment (Hoshin Kanri).

The Business Transformation Leader plays a crucial role in driving change and growth within our customer in the Santa Barbara, CA area. As part of the Leadership Team, the Business Transformation Lead will report to the Global Executive and collaborate closely with Product, Hardware, Software, and Customer Success teams. This role is essential in shaping the 5-year plan of the company and ensuring its continued success.

Responsibilities

Strategic Alignment: Translate high-level business strategies into executable projects using structured methodologies.
Project Leadership: Plan, execute, and monitor projects to ensure timely delivery within scope, budget, and quality standards.
Strategy Deployment: Facilitate the implementation of Hoshin Kanri principles, leveraging XMatrix and A3 problem-solving tools.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and buy-in for transformation initiatives.
Performance Tracking: Develop KPIs and dashboards to measure progress against strategic objectives, providing regular updates and reports to stakeholders.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Continuous Improvement: Promote Lean principles and foster a culture of operational excellence, driving the adoption of new technologies and best practices.
Lead and manage the overall business transformation strategy and initiatives within the client.
Identify opportunities for improvement and develop transformation plans to drive organizational change.
Analyze current business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend solutions for optimization.
Develop and implement change management strategies to support the successful implementation of transformation initiatives.
Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members involved in transformation projects.
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business transformation.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional) required.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of project management experience, preferably in strategy transformation or business process improvement, with a proven track record of successfully leading and implementing business transformation initiatives.

Knowledge: Familiarity with XMatrix, A3 problem-solving, and Hoshin Kanri strategy deployment.

Skills

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or equivalent).
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify and address complex business challenges.

Position Details

Location: Onsite position in Santa Barbara, CA area

Employment Type: Contract to full-time opportunity.

Compensation: Hourly range: $62 to $89 per hour; Estimated Annual Salary $130,000 to $185,000+.
