Primary Purpose: Serve as the key project and process leader for the Talent, Learning, and DEI Center of Excellence, managing a portfolio of transformative initiatives aligned with Exelon's strategic goals. This consultative role collaborates closely with three Talent, Learning, and DEI team directors, supporting their strategies and ensuring effective execution across all areas. The Project Lead oversees a pool of two shared resources and directly manages a Change and Communications Manager to develop and implement strategies for this program and individual projects.
Primary Duties
- Portfolio & Project Management: Lead and coordinate multiple complex projects in Talent, Learning, and DEI, ensuring timely, on-scope, and on-budget delivery. Develop project plans, business cases, and change management strategies in partnership with the directors. Monitor project progress, risks, and outcomes, and provide reports to leadership. (25%)
- Data, Analytics & Budget Management: Assist the VP and directors with data needs, offering insights for decision-making and impact measurement. Manage team budgets through effective tracking, forecasting, and reporting. (15%)
- Process Improvement & Innovation: Identify and implement best practices in project management, talent, and learning to streamline processes. Utilize data to drive continuous improvement and innovation in program delivery. (15%)
- Consultative Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor and partner to directors and their teams, facilitating collaboration across HR, business units, and partners. Prepare executive presentations and updates demonstrating strategic thinking that maximizes impact across HR initiatives. (10%)
- Workload Balancing & Resource Deployment: Oversee resource allocation for the Talent, Learning, and DEI team, managing a pool of two shared resources flexibly to support initiatives. Ensure effective utilization to meet operational needs. (10%)
- Change and Communications Management: Directly manage the Change and Communications Manager to oversee strategies supporting the overall program and specific projects, embedding effective communication and change management practices. (10%)
- Leadership & Team Development: Provide guidance and support to the shared resource pool and Change and Communications Manager, fostering accountability, inclusion, and high performance within the team. Mentor less experienced colleagues. (10%)
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all projects comply with policies and regulations while proactively identifying and mitigating risks. (5%)
Job Scope: This role ensures successful delivery of transformation projects supporting Exelon's Talent, Learning, and DEI strategies by managing scope, budget, and schedule, developing strategic plans, and providing detailed reports to leadership. Frequent interaction with the VP, directors, senior management, HR, business leaders, and external partners is expected, managing a portfolio of projects or significant programs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, organizational development, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of relevant project management experience.
- Experience managing large projects in a matrixed environment.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Ability to build consensus and engage diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with change management and process improvement.
- Strong partnership and team collaboration skills.
- Strategic thinking skills connecting multiple HR initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience in talent management or learning & development.
- Leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience in a large or regulated organization.

- Salary range based on skills and experience: $109,600.00 - $150,700.00 per year.
