Launch Project Manager, Pharmaceuticals, Consultant
Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing project management support to commercial brand (launch) teams, in coordination with launch project management team
- Provide direct support for planning and executing priority commercial launch initiatives including new asset or indication launches, brand planning as well as day-to-day brand operations.
- Primary responsibilities will include all facets typical to launch project management, (e.g., Strategic and Tactical Planning, Brand Deep Dives, etc.), along with meeting facilitation and cross-functional management.
- Work in a heavily matrixed organization with all launch workstreams including Brand Teams, Sales, Business Analytics/ Market Research, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Sales Training, Finance, Regulatory, Legal, Promotional Compliance, and others. This position may also require coordination with the client’s alliance partners.
Launch Management
- Establish/facilitate team ways of working and governance
- Manage/conduct team kickoff
- Cross-functional team meeting facilitation
- Conduct launch deliverables meetings
- POA planning with possible onsite planning/coordination and oversight
- Lead launch readiness workshops
- Facilitate brand lead calls
- Capture and deliver team status updates
- Facilitate Walk-The-Walls Workshop
Documentation
- Project schedule (plan) creation/maintenance
- Create/maintain project, executive, milestone timelines
- Create/maintain escalation plan, team org chart, scorecards, status report including KPIs, charter, RAID log, RACI, DAI, team communications plan, matrix meeting minutes
- Day 1 execution plans including tactics list creation/maintenance
General
- Trusted strategic launch execution advisor
- Risk and issue proactive mitigation
- Conduct Lessons Learned
Qualifications/Experience
- BA/BS degree
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry and/or marketing operations experience
- Expertise in independently managing large projects with multiple workstreams
- Experience successfully managing all or major portions of a pharmaceutical launch
- Experience with established project management methodology, KPIs and templates
- Experience partnering directly with brand teams and brand leadership
Required Skills
- Ability to function effectively under conditions of uncertainty and ambiguity, and ability to navigate competing demands
- Ability to effectively utilize project management tools and software
- Strong PowerPoint and deck creation skills
- Strong capability as an adaptive learner
Preferred
- Strategic planning experience within sales and marketing
- Experience creating senior leadership presentations
- Knowledge of working across strategic alliances
- Strong Excel, Microsoft Project skills
- Advanced degree in relevant field
- PMP certification
Term & Start
- Start ASAP
- 12+ month contract with strong possibility of extension or conversion
