Job Summary
As the Communications Lead for RMEP, you will be responsible for developing and executing clear, consistent, and engaging messaging across all internal and external channels. This role serves as the primary point of contact for RMEP communications, ensuring alignment with Cummins’ brand and corporate communication strategies. You will collaborate closely with the Corporate Communications team and partner cross-functionally to meet the diverse communication needs of employees, leaders, external stakeholders, and the broader Cummins audience. In addition to planning, writing, and coordinating content, you will champion innovative communication methods to effectively reach and engage all audiences, driving transparency, connection, and impact across the organization.

Education, Licenses, Certifications
- College, university, or equivalent degree in communications, marketing, or a related subject required.
- MBA, Master's in Communications, Master's in Marketing, or equivalent degree highly preferred.
Experience
- Digital experience preferred (emerging trends, digital for business, metrics, paid vs. organic, advertising content).
- Graphic design skills, visual communications channel capabilities preferred.
- Global perspective and experience preferred.
- Client/account management preferred.
- System integration/account management for marketing roles preferred.
- 6 Sigma, Value Stream Transformation, continuous improvement experience preferred.
- B2B experience preferred.
Qualifications
As the communications lead for RMEP, this role is responsible for planning, writing, and coordinating all internal and external communications to ensure clear, consistent, and engaging messaging. The position partners closely with the Corporate Communications team to ensure RMEP is effectively represented across Cummins-wide communication channels. Collaborating cross-functionally, this role ensures that communication needs are met across diverse stakeholder groups—including employees, leaders, the broader Cummins audience, and external partners—while maintaining message alignment and consistency. The role also explores and implements innovative communication methods to effectively reach and engage all audiences.
- Plan, write, and/or coordinate all communications for RMEP including internal and external communications.
- Partner with corporate communications team to ensure RMEP is represented within CMI-wide communication channels
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure communication needs are met and stakeholders are getting a consistent message (employees, leaders, broad CMI audience, external stakeholders)
- Utilize new/different communication methods to reach all audiences
