- *Position Purpose**
The purpose of the position is to design and maintain all York Regional Police digital properties, including yrp.ca and YRPNet. This position will play an integral role in upholding the brand, reputation and communication objectives of York Regional Police.
- *Major Duties & Responsibilities**
Participate in Marketing and Corporate Communications’ planning process by recommending the strongest digital strategies and tactics to optimally engage with the citizens York Region, across all digital platforms.
Act as a key project member on the redesign of the YRP website, providing strategic input into the UX, UI and content to ensure the successful launch of the new site.
Support the launch and implementation of YRP’s new SEO strategy, leveraging data and insights from YRP.ca to ensure that the site content and customer experience are optimized for search engines most commonly adopted by community members.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT and other members of MARCOM, ensure YRP’s digital platforms are built and configured to support integrations, content and design updates and compatibility of the platform’s infrastructure.
Lead a regular maintenance schedule for all of YRP’s digital platforms, which would include troubleshooting, debugging, updating the site with system patches and scripts, upgrades.
Coordinate digital projects through planning, developing, testing, evaluating and advising project teams on effectiveness of new digital solutions (new apps, online forms, site architecture).
Recommend and implement key content and design updates to optimize the visitor experience, providing the strongest content for both YRP and community members.
Maintain and optimize the site map, navigation bar and customer journey for all digital properties.
Track, measure and monitor the performance of all digital properties through the adoption of web analytics and insights using a combination of tools and reporting methodologies.
Design and implement a set of standardized weekly, monthly and annual reports to communicate ongoing insights about YRP’s digital properties.
Participate in project development teams to ensure technical viability of end product, analyzing and evaluating client projects and technical needs, providing solutions and relating project scopes peripherally related requirements to project development teams and clients.
- *Education, Licensing & Certifications**
Successful completion of a four (4) year degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing or a related field.
Equivalent experience would be considered in the absence of required education.
- *Experience**
Minimum of four (4) years of previous experience in a related role implementing initiatives and projects related to a digital strategy and properties, including creation and management.
