Job Description

I’m looking for an experienced freelance social media manager (individual freelancer only, not an agency) to support a well-established boutique women’s fashion and accessories store that is expanding from brick-and-mortar into ecommerce.

The business curates an evolving lineup of premium, upscale (not luxury) brands.

Some brands are carried in-store only, some online only, and many across both channels.

Your content should naturally reflect this curation and help drive traffic to the ecommerce store while still honoring the in-store experience.

The core audience is US women roughly 45–70. Tone matters: confident, warm, practical, stylish, and human. This is not a Gen-Z brand and not trend-chasing for its own sake.

You will own content creation and posting across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest, working from a defined content calendar and blog themes.

Platforms & Content Scope

Facebook (1–2 posts per day)

Native short videos / Reels

Carousels

Polls and conversation-driven posts

Opinion prompts, quick quizzes, and discussion starters

Posts that link thoughtfully to products, collections, or blog content

Instagram

Feed / Reels: 3–5x per week

Stories: several times per week

Content includes

Reels (7–15 seconds): product demos, try-ons, styling tips, mini tutorials

Carousels: before/after, “how to choose,” “top picks this week”

Stories: polls, “this or that,” countdowns to drops, link stickers to product or blog

Content should clearly indicate online vs in-store availability when relevant.

TikTok (3–5 posts per week)

Fast hooks adapted for a mature audience

Trend-aware but brand-appropriate (no forced slang)

Product unboxings, POV styling clips, micro-education

Short educational moments tied to blog topics (e.g., sizing, fit, seasonal styling)

Pinterest

Consistent fresh pins weekly (ideally 1–3 quality pins per day)

Create

“How-to” pin sets extracted from blog posts

Seasonal gift guides, style boards, infographics

Step-by-step visuals that naturally drive clicks to products or articles

Boards aligned to main product categories and collections

Content Creation Expectations

Ability to create short-form videos using AI tools where appropriate

Strong at repurposing blog content into social formats

Understands retail storytelling: curation, fit, lifestyle, and use-case

Writes captions that feel natural, informative, and age-appropriate

Can follow a content calendar and post consistently
