AI-First Shopify Engineer – Rapid Store Transformation (Catalog, UX, AI Agents)

We are looking for a technical, AI-native Shopify engineer to rapidly transform an existing Shopify store using modern AI workflows.
This is not a traditional Shopify design role.
We want someone who understands how AI, structured product data, and modern Shopify APIs can be used to dramatically upgrade:
Product pages
Visuals
Copy
UX
Store intelligence
The goal is to achieve in days what normally takes weeks, by using leverage, automation, and AI systems.
What You’ll Work On
Auditing an existing Shopify store for
Product data quality
UX friction
AI readability
Using AI tools to
Enrich product descriptions and metadata
Improve product storytelling and clarity
Generate or enhance visuals efficiently
Improve layout and UX with speed
Working directly with Shopify’s product structure (not just themes)
Making the store more usable for humans and AI agents

Requirements
Strong Shopify experience (themes + product/catalog structure)
Real experience using AI tools in production
Engineering or highly technical background
Solid UX intuition
Clear written communication
Nice to Have
Familiarity with
Shopify APIs (Catalog, Admin, etc.)
AI-driven content pipelines
Programmatic store updates
Headless or advanced Shopify setups
