What You’ll be Doing

  • Foster long-term growth and health of the Toyota Brand in Canada through Brand Campaigns (incl. Masterbrand, Electrification, Cause Marketing) that align with corporate objectives; this includes strategic brief writing, research and segmentation insights, stakeholder alignment, creative production, media planning (TV, digital, social, web, search, etc.) and performance / KPI measurements- Work directly with Toyota Brand Manager and Marketing National Manager to spearhead reporting, measurement and Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) of all brand related efforts- Direct annual planning for brand priorities, working directly with agency partners and broader marketing team to build strategy and see through to effective actualization- Steward consistent alignment of Toyota’s branding and communications approach at all key customer touch points through other stakeholders, including PR, Service Marketing, HR, Sales, Dealers, External Partners, Agencies, and Associates- Support alignment to Toyota Brand Strategy for other corporate priorities, including Northern Super League partnership, Electrification Task Force, etc.- Informal leadership of Toyota Brand Team associates, guiding / overseeing integration of Brand strategy and approach to other channel assets (incl. Auto Shows, Dealer Meeting) and segmentation approach to all communications and planning efforts- Oversee brand budget, working closely with budget coordinator to monitor project spend, and other Marketing Teams to align overall budget priorities- Look for efficiency in all work, planning, and processes to reduce time and cost- Direct liaison and knowledge sharing with Global and North America marketing teams in relation to brand strategy, assets, best practices, etc.

What You’ll Bring

  • Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Business, Communications or Marketing- 5+ years of experience in Marketing, Communications or Strategy- Automotive experience an asset- High degree of energy, optimism and motivation to drive a new approach to building the Toyota Brand Focus on customer centric insights in respect to formulating, reviewing and enhancing our communication approach of our Toyota Brand promise- Experience taking initiative and navigating ambiguous settings with mínimal guidance- Extensive experience with presentations and ability to influence large groups of people- Excellent oral and written communication- Propensity to oversee multiple agency and vendor relationships on behalf of the Toyota Brand- Proven experience working within timelines & processes to develop the highest quality assets in line with Toyota Branding approach- Bilingual (French/English) is an asset
