Who You Are & The Impact You Will Have
We are looking for a creative and analytical Development Marketing Specialist who understands the data center and real estate industries. This role focuses on enhancing pre-development marketing processes, optimizing collaboration and performance. You will create and maintain various marketing materials while supporting strategic marketing initiatives, ultimately influencing QTS business decisions.
What You Will Do
- Support the entire spectrum of marketing activities by leveraging pre-development assets such as site overviews, design specifications, and other materials to produce engaging content for presentations, proposals, and marketing collateral.
- Develop comprehensive market and site overviews to aid customer discussions focused on due diligence, zoning, entitlements, and power availability.
- Build and manage pre-development presentations that maintain confidentiality for internal and external stakeholders.
- Gather developmental assets including drawings and master plans to create compelling narratives for marketing content.
- Assist in deal pursuit activities by curating data sets, conducting market data analysis, and maintaining evergreen marketing collateral.
- Regularly conduct audits of strategic content to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Attend industry conferences to gather valuable insights and trends.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team through project planning, data prioritization, and event participation.
- Perform additional support activities for the Marketing, Development, and Sales teams as needed.
What You Will Need to be Successful
- A degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 1-3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Understanding of pre-development and construction materials such as master plans and design documents.
- Experience in a data center or commercial real estate environment is preferred.
Nice to Have
- Specific experience in large mission-critical, build-to-suit, and data center industries.
- Strong understanding of the cloud, hosting, data center, security, and managed services sectors.
- Ability to analyze market dynamics, trends, and competitive landscape.
- Expertise in developing reports and presentations to support strategic decision-making.
- Visual communication skills to create impactful graphics that convey complex information.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

- Able to navigate a broad matrix structure effectively.
- Capable of managing diverse projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in managing external service partners.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and relatable manner.
- Experience presenting to senior executives and leadership teams.
