The Virtual Loans program is Funded by Economic & Social Development Canada (ESDC) and coordinated by Achev. This program provides loans and virtual support services to address barriers encountered by Internationally Trained Individuals (ITI) in having their credentials recognized in Canada, specifically Alberta and Saskatchewan.

The Webmaster will also develop and maintain digital marketing activities for Career Loans, including launching and maintaining Facebook ads and closely monitoring budget and PPC costs. He/She will also act as social media manager for the program, designing and developing social media posts and promoting the Career loans program and associated events on social media.

  • *QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE**:

Website

  • Maintaining and updating the program website, ensuring WordPress core and plugins remain up-to-date
  • Providing website sticks to current organization-defined colour set, style sheets, design, layout, and architecture.
  • Foster accessibility standards.
  • Facilitate online conversations with clients and respond to queries through live chat and social media messaging channels.
  • Managing domains and monitoring renewals
  • Developing occasional custom page templates.
  • Communicate with and recruit outside freelancers when needed for certain project aspects. Work hand in hand with, and communicate with outside freelancers on various web projects as needed.
  • Develop daily/weekly social media content
  • Research and Source out new web apps and technologies as needed
  • Provide tech support to the Virtual Loans team in regards to the usage of various web apps as needed
  • Should constantly be on the lookout for new technologies to improve the Virtual Loans program and stay abreast of new web technologies.
  • Promote Career Loans events on social media
  • Have a constant knowledge of all popular social media channels and their usage.
  • Deliver Facebook ad campaigns and closely monitor ad budget.
  • Deliver Facebook ads and other web apps lead to Virtual Counsellors daily.
  • Setup and manage zoom webinars
  • Design and manage Eventbrite pages
  • Work with the current library of blogs to promote Career Loans online
  • Ensure the existing connection between the Virtual Loans website and the internal “OneClient” CRM tool remains active.

Data Analysis

  • Collecting, processing, and analyzing data from the e-platform/website and analytics.
  • Monitoring user behaviour (Site Search, Site Content) through Google Analytics.
  • Creating /monthly reports of Google ad Conversions and Google analytics website statistics
  • Deliver Monthly social media analytics reports
  • *QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE**:
  • Proficient with WordPress v5+
  • Proficient with HTML 5, CSS 3
  • Basic knowledge of PHP, JavaScript/JQuery
  • Proficient in relevant Adobe Creative Cloud Products - Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Dreamweaver, In Design, Acrobat Pro and Premiere. Knowledge of other Adobe Creative Cloud programs is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Proficient in Canva
  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience in media production and online development
  • Knowledge of screen recording and video editing software
  • Knowledge of Google tools such as Search Console, Analytics, AdWords, Places, Calendars
  • Working knowledge of ALL popular social media platforms and using software such as Hootsuite and Hero post, including how to provide social media analytics as needed
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines daily and to plan for both immediate and long term initiatives
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices for usability, accessibility, as well as SEO
  • Experience managing high performing digital advertising campaigns on Facebook and Google AdWords platform
  • Excited to research for solutions when faced with technical challenges, and passionate about the latest and greatest web technologies
  • Ability to take charge of solving a problem, from beginning to end
  • Adaptable and innovative team player with solid communication and interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Post-secondary education in communications, media, web development, or emerging technology is required
  • Be skilled in the use of web hosting procedures and maintaining web hosting accounts using Linux hosting
  • Experience working in a non-profit environment is a plus.
