Job Title:

Project Coordinator

Overview:

Manages, plans, and coordinates activities of projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects.
Establishes work plan and multi-disciplinary staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.

Typical Functions:

Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
Reviewing project specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
Conducting material takeoffs (calculating quantities from drawings).
Interacting with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
Managing project bids and proposals.
Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is commonly preferred, though experienced electricians, estimators or project managers can fill this role.
3–5 years of experience in electrical estimating, contracting, or as a field electrician.
Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
Experience with takeoff and estimating software such as Accubid, ConEst, Esticom, or Trimble or AEC Inspire. Must be proficient in Excel
Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC), electrical materials, and labor units.
Strong mathematical abilities to compute costs, percentages, and materials.
High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in bidding.
Strong communication skills for presenting estimates to clients and teams.
Ability to work under pressure to meet strict tender deadlines

Compensation Details: The expected base salary for this position is starting at $45,000 annually depending on experience. This position is also bonus eligible - based on specific and relevant business metrics.
